Dr. Wilzen A. Lingad

Dr. Wilzen Anne Lingad is the owner and founder of Bridges Eyecare. She is an experienced and compassionate optometrist proficient in primary and pediatric eye care, contact lenses (including toric and multifocal), dry eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, as well as emergency and routine eye care.

Dr. Wilzen Anne Lingad entered a joint program between the City College of New York  and the SUNY College of Optometry. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2016. During her training, Dr. Lingad received the State University of New York diversity fellowship 4 years in a row. This, in addition to her ability to perform eye exams in English, Spanish and French, highlights her ability to work with compassion and care with patients of all ages, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds.

Prior to opening Bridges Eyecare, Dr. Lingad earned valuable experience working alongside other optometrists and ophthalmologists in various private practice settings. She learned a lot from her exposure co-managing surgical cases such as cataract surgery, strabismus surgery and glaucoma surgery.

Before entering Optometry school, Dr. Lingad worked as a science and fashion after-school teacher across multiple schools in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Dr. Lingad grew up in Switzerland and moved to New York City on her own at the age of 19. She now lives in Queens and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their two young daughters.
